Job Summary:

As an IT Specialist, you will serve as the expert for supporting ALDI’s Workforce Management software. You will be a part of an already established team, supporting employee timeclock systems (punching IN and OUT ), and payroll processing at a national level. The ideal candidate will have experience working with SQL, writing queries, and extracting data that is requested by internal business users. Candidates must be able to use SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and have a clear understanding of Microsoft Excel, with the ability to use pivot tables and/or macros. Candidates must have a technical aptitude for troubleshooting software systems and the drive to become an expert in assigned areas of responsibility. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides First and Second level technical support of payroll and time keeping solutions.

  • Identifies issues in WFM software and develops suggested process improvements.

  • Answers incoming support requests in a timely manner, following the proper processes and procedures for documenting and resolving issues.

  • Provides support to users and contacts appropriate internal personnel or external vendors when further expertise is required.

  • Participates in the overall maintenance of existing software solutions, including training and the deployment of changes and upgrades.

  • Troubleshooting IT related issues and performing root cause analysis.

  • Will be tasked to conduct data extraction, transferring and loading (ETL), to support analysis.

  • Develop and manage SSRS Reports.

  • Documentation, technical writing, end user training will be essential to this role.

Skill Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge; or relevant ALDI business experience with an exceptional level of demonstrated success.

  • 2 years of experience working with Foundational SQL, advanced SQL skills a plus

  • Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services and SQL Server Integration Services preferred2 years of experience with Microsoft Excel (Advanced Skills).

  • Experience finding application solutions, with the technical skills to investigate and resolve issues.

  • Self-starter and the ability to work independently.

  • Ability to manage one’s time in order to maximize productivity and effectiveness.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to solve complex problems through research and analysis.

  • Experience performing application support, hardware support, middleware support

  • Demonstrated testing and QA experience

  • Excellent organizational and analytic skills

  • Excellent writing and presentation skills

  • Experience working in a project setting, working with the business and partnering with external team members.

  • Availability to travel, as needed (up to 5%).
