ALDI Business Process Specialist in Batavia, Illinois

As a Merchandising Business Process Specialist, you will support the greater Merchandising Team which provides merchandising direction for all of ALDI’s more than 2300 stores. In this position, you will collaborate with department project leads to ensure new processes are feasible and communicate process changes to the appropriate audiences, recommend process improvements, attend international meetings, and create and provide process training for new hires. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner of software programs, have strong attention to detail, be highly organized, excel at time management, and have excellent communication skills to support the Merchandising Team.

Position Type: Full-Time

Work Location: Batavia, IL

This role is eligible to participate in ALDI’s Hybrid Work Program, which allows remote work up to 3 days per week (i.e., work remotely up to 3 days per week; work in-office at least 2 days per week).

Duties and Responsibilities:

Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Collaborates with department project leads to ensure new processes are feasible and communicates process changes to the appropriate audiences.

• Liaises with the IT department regarding software updates, questions, concerns, and suggestions.

• Recommends process improvements for area of responsibility.

• Evaluates current processes and programs, making recommendations as needed.

• Communicates software and process updates through announcements, e-mails and staff meetings as needed.

• Creates and provides process training for new hires and visitors to the department.

• Fulfills department and business reporting requests based on defined cadence.

• Creates new reports based on expertise of available data to satisfy ad hoc business requests.

• Audits department tasks to ensure standard procedures are followed and specific level of data integrity is achieved.

• Attends meetings and trainings for system and process.

• Attends international meetings when appropriate.

• Tests updates and new versions of database software.

• Collaborates with team members and communicates relevant information to leadership.

• Complies with ALDI privacy and security requirements and policies if job responsibilities include possible access to confidential and/or sensitive information.

• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field required.

• A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in Business Administration required.

• Experience in ALDI National Services Departments preferred.

• Or, a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.

Physical Requirements:

• Work may be performed in an office, remote office or a combination of both where a computer and office equipment may be used as needed to perform duties.

• Regularly required to sit, reach, grasp, stand and move from one area to another.

• Constantly and repeatedly use keyboard/mouse.

• Occasionally required to push, pull, bend, lift and move up to 25 lbs.

Travel:

• Local travel required.

• Up to 10%.
