We are seeking a Market Research and Analytics Analyst to join our growing ALDI Corporate Buying team. This results-oriented and data-driven individual will provide analytic support to the Market Research and Analytics Manager. The ideal candidate is able to use quantitative and qualitative data to develop insights which will drive strategy development, sales and profitability of the company.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead research efforts to analyze market level data, including planning, forecasting and providing recommendations to cross-functional teams
Perform detailed financial analysis on company initiatives, yielding actionable insights such as ROI and sales/customer count growth
Develop, recommend, produce and present quantitative and qualitative market research programs
Analyze primary and secondary CPG data, providing regular updates on internal metrics (KPIs), competitive advertising, initiatives, etc.
Analyze work procedures with the objective of driving simplicity and effectiveness
Strategic and critical thinker with high emphasis in accuracy and urgency
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate effectively across many levels of the business and work with cross-functional teams
Develop and maintain financial models through benchmarking and process analysis
Analyze and report on current financial status as well as forecast quarterly and annual profits
A self-starter with the ability to prioritize duties among multiple, concurrent projects
Ability to prepare executive-level recommendations and reports, including PowerPoint presentations
Ability to explain data findings and complex concepts in a presentation to a non-analytical audience
Exhibits advanced skill level with Excel (including VBA)
Experience with SQL queries and an understanding of SSRS reporting to support data management, report creation and analytics
Experience with data visualization tool Tableau preferred
Bachelor’s degree in a Business or related field and a minimum of 2-3 years of experience. Related fields/experience may include, but not limited to: Finance, KPIs, qualitative research, quantitative research, market research, CPG, IRI, Nielsen, Tableau, consumer insights
