ALDI Payroll Associate I in Naperville, Illinois

Position Type: Full-Time

Starting Wage: $22.50/hour

Duties and Responsibilities:

Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Prepares, processes, reconciles and audits payroll data within the company payroll system.

• Maintains payroll data files and employee personnel files in accordance with company policy and procedures, as well as an efficient and well-organized filing system for the department ensuring items are archived and disposed of per company guidelines.

• Generates wage and hour reports as requested by management.

• Reconciles quarterly reports to ensure accurate wage and tax liability.

• Prepares and reconciles manual journal entries and distributes to Accounting for entry into the General Ledger system.

• Works proactively to identify, investigate, and report irregularities within designated area of responsibility.

• Conducts training and cross training of knowledge and expertise within area of responsibility.

• Communicates with internal and external auditors, attorneys and government agencies as required.

• Collaborates with team members and communicates relevant information to direct leader.

• Upholds the security and confidentiality of documents and data within area of responsibility.

• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma / GED required.

• A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience required.

• Or, a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.

• Associate’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related field preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Work is performed in an office environment where a computer, telephone and other office equipment are used as needed to perform duties.

• Regularly required to sit, reach, grasp, stand and move from one area to another.

• Constantly and repeatedly use keyboard/mouse.

• Occasionally required to push, pull, bend, lift and move up to 25 lbs.
